Climaveneta FOCS and TECS are water-cooled chiller ranges with screw compressors, used for large data centre and commercial central chilled water plant where cooling tower or condenser water infrastructure already exists. Water-cooled chillers generally deliver higher full-load efficiency than air-cooled plant.
These ranges are deployed at scale: a single large data centre project documented by Mitsubishi Electric used 18 TECS water-cooled chillers for a combined 28MW of cooling. Inverter options improve part-load efficiency, which matters because data centre plant rarely runs at full load.
