Why precision cooling

A standard server room can overheat in under ten minutes if cooling fails. At 35°C, hard drives begin failing at accelerated rates. At 40°C, CPUs throttle or shut down entirely. The cost of a single thermal event — corrupted data, destroyed hardware, SLA breaches — routinely exceeds the annual cost of a properly maintained precision cooling programme. CRAC Services exists to make sure that event never happens.
We service, commission, and design every major CRAC topology: DX (direct expansion) with air-cooled or glycol condensers, CDW (condenser water) systems connected to cooling towers, and CHW (chilled water) perimeter and in-row units fed from central chiller plant. Beyond traditional raised-floor perimeter cooling, our scope includes close-coupled in-row units for high-density pods, rear-door heat exchangers for 30–60kW racks, and direct-to-chip liquid cooling consultancy for GPU clusters and AI training infrastructure.

Every installation and service programme we deliver is benchmarked against ASHRAE TC 9.9 thermal guidelines and complies with AS/NZS 5149 (refrigerating systems safety), AS/NZS 1668.2 (mechanical ventilation for buildings), and AS/NZS 3666 (air-handling and water systems — Legionella control) where cooling tower or chilled water plant is in scope. All refrigerant handling is performed by ARC-licensed technicians under ARCtick regulations — a federal legal requirement in Australia.
