- RideThrough and RapidRestore
- Approx 300-10,500kW range
The Daikin Magnitude is an oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal chiller range (models WME, WMC and WMT) used for mission-critical data centre central plant. Magnetic bearings remove oil, mechanical seals and gears, which improves long-term reliability and keeps heat-transfer surfaces free of efficiency-robbing oil film.
Daikin publishes a Magnitude capacity range of approximately 86 to 3000 tons (about 300kW to 10,500kW) using low-GWP refrigerants such as R-513A, R-515B or R-1233zd(E). For data centres, RideThrough and RapidRestore features keep the plant stable and bring it back quickly during power disturbances, and the WME-C Quad reaches 2000 to 3000 tons for high-density, always-on environments.
CRAC Services supplies, installs and services Daikin Magnitude chillers in Australia as central chilled water plant feeding chilled water CRAC and CRAH units, with full BMS and sequencing integration.
